Pastor Joel Tang
I have led teams to Panama over the past 5 years and attended 4 English Camps, last year I served as one of the coordinator of the planning and operations of the camp. As the youth pastor at North York (Chinese) Baptist Church, I am excited to see our youth people learn to leave their comfort zone and to be challenged as they serve the Lord.

I have been working as a consultant in the financial services industry for the last 5 years. In addition, I have been serving as a Youth Counselor at North York Chinese Baptist Church for the University aged fellowship group. It has been a blessing to watch students mature in their faith and equip themselves to spread the gospel to their peers and to their communities when they graduate. Over this past year, God has been pressing on me to broaden my horizon to share the gospel cross-cultural and away from home. I want to answer his call to be bold and go on this journey to see the work of God firsthand and share the good news to those who may have not heard it.

I am a student at Durham College currently studying Web Design. I had the blessings of growing up in NYCBC surrounded with many friends and family. My last missions trip was back when I was in Grade 8, which was seven years ago, along that time, a lot has changed, God taught me a lot about myself and my relationship has changed a lot since then. I am excited to see how God will use me differently this time, and continue to push me out of my own comfort zone, to share the gospel and let Him use me in any way He can.

I am a student at Wilfrid Laurier University studying Business Administration. I have been very blessed by God throughout my life in Toronto and Waterloo to know the truth of the gospel and to be able to grow in Christ. During the past year God has been challenging me to tell others about Him and to share the good news that He has graciously given to all of us. God has taught me to place my trust in Him fully and to have confidence in Christ to follow and obey His commands. I am very excited to experience what God is doing in other areas of the world and to serve the students in Panama.

I am a recent engineering graduate from the University of Waterloo and started attending NYCBC about a year ago. Now that I have completed school, the timing permits me to serve in Panama English Camp. I am excited for this opportunity to see God's work to save Panama students and thankful that I can take part in it. My prayer is that God would use us to accomplish His purposes and for Him to increase our faith through this trip.

I'm currently attending North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church - Melville Mission and studying in Ryerson's architecture program. I grew up in Panama for 8 years and had the opportunity to attend the English Camp as a kid, which our team will be serving this summer. During the time in the English Camp, not only did I have fun, but I also saw something that was quite different in the leaders. Something that I know of today as "being in Christ". As God continues to mold and shape my character to be more Christ-like, He has definitely been challenging me to proclaim the joy that I have in me to others and to step out of my comfort zone. What better way than to - give back what I have received from the God Almighty. I am definitely stoked to see what God has in plan for each person, who will be serving this year at the camp.
